Cabrillo Gallery curator/coordinators Beverly Rayner and Victoria May worked into the night preparing the current exhibition Out of the Dark: alternative process photography which opened on Monday, March 11.
The show features “a truly eclectic display of unusual photographic artworks that are visually intriguing and often surprisingly abstract,” according to the Cabrillo Gallery website.
The show features artists from all over the country, and includes the Cabrillo photography lab technician Janet Fine. There is a broad diversity of alternative processes included in the exhibition, including tintype, platinum palladium, Daguerreotype, chemigrams and gum bichromate.
The exhibition runs through April 12.
