Cabrillo College will start enforcing parking fees on April 4 at Cabrillo’s Aptos and Watsonville campuses. Fees were not being collected earlier in the semester.
Students can purchase a semester-long permit for $40, or $20 with a Cabrillo College Promise Grant Waiver. The purchase can be made at the Welcome Center and SAC East of the Aptos Campus, and at the Enrollment Services Office of the Watsonville campus.
Students must also present a photo ID at one of these sites. Permits cannot be mailed. Those picking one up for someone else will need a signed letter from that person giving their permission, as well as their own photo ID.
Daily parking permits can be purchased for $4 from dispensers in the student parking lots with a credit or debit card.
Parking is enforced by the Sheriff’s Office 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Permits must always be displayed on the lower left dashboard or hanging from a tag on the rear-view mirror.
Permits are only valid in student parking spaces. If a student is parked in a staff or visitor space, a citation will be issued. A temporary disabled student permit is available at the Accessibility Support Center, room 1070 upstairs behind the library in The Hub of the Aptos campus. Motorcycles do not need a permit as long as they park in a designated motorcycle parking space.
