This president is a moron. He is a
lunkhead. Someone needs to stand up and tell him to ‘shut his pie
hole’. And, if he had a ‘lick of sense’ he would. But alas, he
does not.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi
(D.-Calif.) said to correspondent Judy Woodward on PBS “NewsHour”
on Tuesday April 22 that she had an “Epiphany” on Easter that
told her she “must call out the truth” on the COVID-19 pandemic
and as a result of that Epiphany, she has been criticizing President
Donald Trump.
I believe firmly, even ‘strongly’ in Trumpian verbiage, that now more than ever is the time to stand up to the ‘bully in chief’ and call him out each and every time he utters untruth and puts the American people at risk on all topics of discussion. He epitomizes the pairing of arrogance and ignorance like a bitter wine, the ‘whiner in chief’; the aggrieved child-man, looking to blame others, and publicly stating he does not feel a sense of responsibility for our response to Covid-19.
Per Speaker Pelosi: “I had sort of an epiphany, an epiphany on Easter, that said: ‘We must call out the truth on this.’ Because we cannot–It’s one thing to overlook what happened in the past and be sad about that. It’s another thing to let the misrepresentations continue. And so that’s why I am saying that he’s a poor leader,” Pelosi continued—referring to Trump.
“He ignores his own responsibility
and assigns blame, instead of taking responsibility, paying attention
to science, recognizing the word–the role of governance in all of
this to get the job done for the American people,” Pelosi said.
“And, so,” she continued, “he’s
engaged in distractions like immigration, distractions like
supporting people in the street. They are all distractions away from
the fact, the known fact, that he’s a total failure when it comes to
testing.”
So the next day Wednesday April 23
Trump suggested exploring disinfectants as a possible treatment for
coronavirus infections — an extremely dangerous proposition that
medical experts warn could kill people. In an article for NBC, Jane
Timm of MSNBC writes.
After a Homeland Security official
mentioned in that April 23 briefing, the ability of disinfectants
like bleach to kill the coronavirus on surfaces. Trump then remarked
on the effectiveness…
“And then I see the
disinfectant where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is
there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or
almost a cleaning?” Trump said during his daily briefing at the
White House. “Because, you see, it gets on the lungs, and it
does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it’d be interesting to
check that. So that you’re going to have to use medical doctors, but
it sounds — it sounds interesting to me.”
And, oh by the way, disinfectants
like bleach are poisonous and dangerous when mishandled, doctors say.
The maker of Lysol also issued a statement warning against any
internal use of the cleaning product after Trump’s comments.
“This notion of injecting or
ingesting any type of cleansing product into the body is
irresponsible, and it’s dangerous,” said Dr. Vin Gupta, a
pulmonologist and global health policy expert who is an NBC News and
MSNBC contributor. “It’s a common method that people utilize
when they want to kill themselves.”
“Any amount of bleach or
isopropyl alcohol or any kind of common household cleaner is
inappropriate for ingestion even in small amounts. Small amounts are
deadly,” Gupta said.
Even Trump’s Food and Drug
Administration specifically warned against drinking the chemicals in
disinfectants — a fake science that has been peddled as a cure for
autism and HIV infection for decades — noting that consumption of
such products “can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and
symptoms of severe dehydration.”
Furthermore, Gupta added that it was
“demoralizing” for a doctor to hear the White House “peddle
improper health messaging” and said the president had a pattern
of pushing unproven medical treatments.
As you may
recall, the president spent weeks advocating using the antimalarial
drug hydroxychloroquine after anecdotal evidence suggested that it
might help patients fight COVID-19, the disease associated with the
coronavirus. On Tuesday April 22, a study of coronavirus patients in
a Veterans Affairs hospital reported more deaths among those treated
with hydroxychloroquine than among those treated with standard care.
HELLO!
The danger as Gupta points out “It’s
exceptionally dangerous. There are people who hang on to every word
of the president.”
“Maybe you can. Maybe you
can’t. I’m not a doctor. I’m, like, a person who has a good
you-know-what,” Trump said, pointing to his head.
He is a clear and present danger.
It’s not only his thin understanding of science and medicine; it’s
his pomposity in blurting out his thoughts and ideas that are
‘half-baked’ and idiotic. He doesn’t know what he is talking
about, although he would disagree, and he says so out loud. He
apparently has little if any capacity to sensor himself or to control
his impulses. He thinks he is a ‘Stable genius’. He is not a
genius. He is a knucklehead.
He will dismiss reporters and
chastise them publicly if they ask him relevant questions. And what’s
worse is that he has surrounded himself with enablers who won’t
call him out on his ignorance or behaviors. If you want to keep your
job, you must not dissent, and you must praise the leader. If you
want a supreme example of this, simply observe V.P. Mike Pence who
has refined ‘brown-nosing’ to an art form in these briefings.
So I say, “Call him out! Call him
out! Call him out!”
